08:30 After breakfast, drive south for Tainan. 11:30 Arrive Tainan to visit Chikan Tower and Confucius Temple. 14:30 Proceed to Foguangshan Monastery, the biggest Buddhist Monastery in Taiwan. 15:30 Brief visit of the monastery upon arrival. Visit Great Buddha Land, Buddhist Culture Museum and Main Shrine. |

05:30 You can choose to wake up early this morning and join the monastery’s chanting. 09:00 Proceed to Meinong. 10:00 Meinong is a traditional hakka village. Visit its famous hand-made oiled-paper umbrella work shop and Meinong ceramics kiln. 13:00 Proceed to Taitung. 16:30 Arrive at Chihpen, to check in hotel and enjoy the natural hot spring for the remainder of the day (For those who stay at Toyugi, if clients wish, suggest having buffet dinner with aboriginal show at Royal Chihpen Hotel on their own.) |

08:30 Drive north along the east coast to visit Siaoyeliou, Dulan (art center and café with pacific view), Tunghe Bridge (you may see wild monkeys here), and Sansientai. Drive to East Rift Valley national Scenic Area and enjoy both sides green farm fields stretching to the mountains view. 17:00 Arrive Hualien County. Check in hotel. Rest of day free at leisure. |

08:30 Taroko National Park tour: visit Tunnel of Nine Turns, Swallow Grotto, Eternal Spring Shrine Taroko Gorge Gateway and marble factory. 13:30 Back to Taipei via Su-Hua highway and stop at the Chingshui Cliffs. Visit handicraft center or souvenir shop. 18:00 Complete the tour. |

Remarks:
1. The above rates are valid from 1 Apr. 2011 to 31 Mar. 2012, including 4 nights hotel accommodation on twin sharing basis with daily breakfast, English speaking guide with air-conditioned car/minivan, entrance tickets, and insurance. When the number of passenger is less than 6, we substitute with an English speaking driving guide.
2. All of personal expenses such as telephone bill, laundry, mini bar, pay TV, porterage and tour guide gratitude are not included.
3. Current exchange rate is US$1.0 = NT$32; a certain adjustment will be applied with notice when the depreciation exceeds 2.0%.
4. Note that for special period: during consecutive holidays (2~5 Apr. 2011, 4~6 Jun. 2011, 10~12 Sep. 2011, 8~10 Oct. 2011 and 25~28 Feb. 2012), and Chinese New Year vacation (21 ~ 29 Jan. 2012) price may be adjusted.
5. Tour is based on SIC basis.
6. The hotel check-in time in Taiwan usually is around 15:00 and check-out time is around 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out will lead to surcharge.
Payment.
1. On acceptance – £200 per person, Acceptance Payment/Deposit (non refundable) by bank transfer or cheque payable to
“S W & M Miller” OR by International Bank Transfer to UK Bank Account
Your Contract for all tour arrangements is directly with Golden Foundation Tours, Taipei to whom payment for the tour is made.
2. You pay eight weeks prior to Arrival in Taiwan – Full payment in US$ by International Bank Transfer, direct to Golden Foundation Tours, Taipei. Full details will be provided.
3. As a Special arrangement, payment can also be made b y 50% 8 weeks prior to arrival and 50% on arrival in Taipei in cash. this is subject to prior agreement and does not apply in Peak season.
Cancellation Charges
35 days prior to Arrival a cancellation fee of US$200 per person will be applicable.
30 days notice of cancellation a fee of 25% of the total amount will be applicable.
25 days notice of cancellation a fee of 75% of the total amount will be applicable
Less than 25 days notice incurs the full amount.

- Services of an English speaking local guide (or a naturalist in National Parks)
- Entrance fees at monuments and parks where applicable
- Basic porterage at airports, rail stations and hotels (not tips).
- All currently applicable taxes.
- Where US$ are quoted the UK pounds price shown is for comparison only and is subject to change.
Excluded from the Cost
- Expenses of a personal nature: table drinks, laundry, telephone calls, Internet charges, mineral water, tips, shopping etc.
- Any other meals or services not mentioned in the itinerary or ‘includes’ list.
- Any international airfares to India and Asia
- Domestic economy airfares, indicated in the itinerary, are subject to change.
- Any airport taxes where applicable in each country
- Any subsequent increase in airfares, fuel costs, monuments/sightseeing fees.
- Any other taxes subsequently introduced by Government, State or Tourist Ministry.
- Travel Insurance
- Visa Fees, if applicable, in any country
