Chiang Mai Jungle Adventure – 6 Days

Applicable for: A group of minimum 2 persons. Join group in Thailand.
Itinerary:
An opportunity to explore the deciduous forest of northern Thailand, and learn something of the culture and way of life of the local hill tribes.
Participants have to meet at least one day prior to departure day for orientation of the programme.
Day 1, Bangkok / Chiang Mai (-
Late afternoon around 16.30hrs transfer to the railway station for the overnight train to Chiang Mai.
Day 2, Chiang Mai (-
Arrive Chiang Mai early morning and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3, Trekking (B/L/D)
Pick up from hotel after breakfast and depart from Chiang Mai by road, heading north. Visit the local market in Mae Malai and then continue to Pong Dued hot spring for lunch. After lunch trek through the tropical forests about 2 hours (2 km.) for an opportunity to learn about flora and fauna and the secret of jungle herbs. Arrive at Karen village of Baan Pong Noi or Ban Pa Klauy for overnight. Time to swim and to explore the village. Learn how to do bamboo weaving, trap making, etc. and perhaps give the guide a hand in preparing the evening meal. Enjoy your first dinner in the jungle followed by an evening talk with the villagers for the legend of the hill tribes. Overnight in a bamboo hut
Day 4, Trekking (B/L/D)
After breakfast walk for 2 ½ -
Day 5, Trekking / Chiang Mai (B/L/-
After breakfast watch the elephants taking their daily bath in the stream. Afterwards
take an elephant-

The activities in the afternoon of Day 4 and in the morning of Day 5 may be swapped (so the elephant riding might be on day 4), depends on weather conditions.
Day 6, Chiang Mai (B/-
Tour terminates after breakfast.
Departure day: Every Saturday and Monday, year round.
Remarks:
· NOT recommend for children under 7 years old for trekking
· Trekking itinerary is only a guideline and is subject to change without prior notice due to local conditions, but the same concept is well maintained.
· Though the trek rating is easy, however one should expect not a flat-
· A supplement of high season and/or compulsory dinner will be advised at the time of booking, if applicable.

1. On acceptance -
Your Contract for all tour arrangements is directly with our Associate Company in Thailand, ETC, Bangkok, to whom payment for the tour is made.
2. Eight weeks prior to arrival in Thailand or on Acceptance -
