12 Day Tour

 

 

DAY 01:  KOVALAM  On arrival at Trivandrum airport, our representative will meet and transfer to Kovalam where you will check in at resort for 04 nights. Kovalam, one of Kerala’s most popular beach resorts is situated just 15 kms from Trivandrum.  The rest of the day is free to relax.  Overnight, stay at the hotel.

DAY 02:  KOVALAM After breakfast proceed to Dental Clinic to consult the  dentist and discuss the dental procedures from any of the following like whitening of teeth , scaling (cleaning of teeth plus polishing), root canal treatment, crowns or bridges. If time permits start the first phase of the treatment on the same day. Later, return to the hotel. Evening, at leisure by the beach or free for your own activities.  Overnight, stay at the hotel.

 

DAY 03:  KOVALAM If necessary, return to the Dental Clinic for treatment.  The rest of the day is free to relax.  OR Full day at leisure. Overnight, stay at the hotel.

 

DAY 04:  KOVALAM If necessary, return to the Dental Clinic for treatment.  The rest of the day is free to relax.  OR Full day at leisure. Overnight, stay at the hotel.

DAY 05:  KOVALAM – ALLEPPY – HOME STAY (B,L,D)  After breakfast drive to Alleppey.  On arrival you will be invited to stay in a small backwater village with a local family. The stay with Indian families will be a different experience and can taste the home cooked food in a friendly ambience. During the stay you will have a private room with en suite bath and toilet. You will be the guest of the family and they will take you around to see the village.   The villagers are normally friendly and generous to the tourists!. Overnight, stay with the family.

 

DAY 06:  KUMARAKOM – PERIYAR Morning have a relaxing breakfast. Later in the morning drive to Periyar, one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries of South India famous for elephants.  This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on Periyar Lake.  On arrival, check in at hotel for 01 night.  Evening go for a 02 hours boat cruise in the lake to watch wild animals.  Overnight, stay at the hotel.

 

DAY 07:  PERIYAR – MUNNAR  After breakfast drive to Munnar, the most beautiful hill station on the Western Ghats at about 1600 meters above sea level.  En route visit tapioca and banana plantations. The drive from Periyar to Munnar will be an unforgettable experience through the Cardamom Hills. This will be one of the best drives you have during this tour.  Continue to Munnar.  Eravikulam National Park is 30 Kms from Munnar.  Munnar was the summer resort of British Government in the south.  On arrival, check in at hotel for 02 nights.  Rest of the day free to relax OR for your own activities.  Overnight, stay at the hotel.

DAY 08:  MUNNAR Munnar is famous for its tea.  Nearly 55,000 acres of land is covered with tea and looks like a green carpet on the earth.  Morning drive to the Munnar hills to visit Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty dam, the scattered villages and later the tea factory.  A visit to this beautiful hilly town (old Munnar) and the local market will be interesting.  Overnight, stay at the hotel.                              

DAY 09:  MUNNAR – COCHIN (Kochi) After breakfast drive to Kochi. On arrival, check in at the hotel for 02 nights.  Afternoon is free. In the evening enjoy a performance of Kathakali - the dance drama of Kerala. Overnight, stay at the hotel.

DAY 10:  COCHIN  After breakfast proceed for Cochin sightseeing includes, St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish synagogue and Chinese fishing nets.  Rest of the day is free for own activities or to relax.  Overnight, stay at the hotel.

 

Cochin – Queen of Arabian seas, is one of the most interesting cities in India and has one of the finest natural harbours in the world. The ancient Temples, Churches and Synagogues in this district are of special interest to archaeologists and historians. The Chinese fishing nets, the Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace and the Bolgatty Palace in Cochin enrich the heritage of Kerala.

DAY 11:  COCHIN – TRIVANDRUM After breakfast drive back to Kovalam and (if necessary) en route visit the Dental Clinic for a final check up.  Continue to Kovalam and check in at the hotel. The rest of the day free to relax. Overnight, stay at the hotel.

 

DAY 12:  TRIVANDRUM DEPARTURE Morning at leisure. Later transfer to Trivandrum airport for departure.

HOUSEBOAT OPTION   

DAY 05:  KOVALAM – ALLEPPY – KUMARAKOM (houseboat) (B,L,D) After breakfast drive to Alleppey.  On arrival, check in at the HOUSEBOAT for an overnight cruise through the world famous backwaters of Kerala from Alleppey

Kumarakom.     

A cruise on the house boat is the best way to experience the beautiful backwaters.  Alleppey has a large network of canals and is a centre for backwater cruises in our state.  The famous Nehru Trophy Boat race - the most colourful of boat races, is held here on the second Saturday of August every year.  During the cruise you will have stops to go for short walks through the villages. Overnight, stay on board the boat.

 

DAY 06:  KUMARAKOM – PERIYAR Morning have a relaxing breakfast on board.  Around 10 a.m. arrive at Kumarakom.  Disembark from the house boat and drive to Periyar.  Periyar, is one of the best known wildlife sanctuaries of South India famous for elephants.  This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on Periyar Lake.  On arrival, check in at hotel for 01 night.   Evening go for a 02 hours boat trip on the lake to watch wild animals.  Overnight, stay at hotel.

The following OPTIONAL sightseeing trips can be booked while you are in Kovalam and during your treatment.

 

Half Day Trip To Padmanabhapuram Palace  Between the treatments you can go for a half day sightseeing visit to Padmanabhapuram Palace, the magnificent wooden palace constructed by the Maharajas of Travancore, which is 01 hours drive from Kovalam.  

                                                                 

Tour Cost  £12.00 per person (minimum 2 persons)

 

Half Day City Tour Of Trivandrum Take a half day sightseeing tour of Trivandrum to visit the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Horse Palace, Museum and Art Gallery.

Tour Cost £7 per person (minimum 2 persons)

 

A HALF DAY WITH AN ELEPHANT This includes an elephant ride, elephant feeding, elephant bath etc.

PAYMENT

1. On acceptance - £150 per person, Acceptance Payment/Deposit (non refundable) by cheque payable to “S W & M Miller”.

 

Your Contract for all tour arrangements is directly with our Associate Company in India to whom payment for the tour is made.

 

2. Eight weeks prior to arrival in India or on Acceptance - 50% payable in US $, by Credit Card or International Bank Transfer, direct to India

3. On arrival in India– 50% payable, in US $, by Credit Card or Cash.

 

Cancellation Charges

35 days prior to arrival a cancellation fee of US$200 per person will be applicable.
30 days notice of cancellation a fee of 25% of the total amount will be applicable.
25 days notice of cancellation a fee of 50% of the total amount will be applicable
Less than 25 days notice incurs the full amount.

· Services of an English speaking local guide (or a naturalist in National Parks)

· Entrance fees at monuments and parks where applicable

· Train journeys where applicable

· Domestic economy airfares, indicated in the itinerary, are subject to change.

· Basic porterage at airports, rail stations and hotels (not tips).

· All currently applicable taxes.

· Where US$ are quoted the UK pounds price shown is for comparison only and is subject to change.

 

Excluded from the Cost

· Expenses of a personal nature such as table drinks, laundry, telephone calls, Internet charges, mineral water, tips, shopping etc.

· Any other meals or services not mentioned in the itinerary or ‘includes’ list.

· Any international airfares to India and Asia

· Any airport taxes where applicable in each country

· Any subsequent increase in airfares, fuel costs, monuments/sightseeing fees.

· Any other taxes subsequently introduced by Government, State or Tourist Ministry.

· Travel Insurance

· Visa Fees, if applicable, in any country

Dental Implants –about £500 per implant – compared with UK price of £1500 to £2000.   Please ask for a quotation to suit your particular case.  Number of visits will depend upon the number and type of implants and any ancillary work required.

Please note that Dental Treatments are NOT included in the tour cost.  Your contract for Dental Treatment will be with Global Dental Solutions, Trivandrum and you will pay them direct at the time of the treatment.  Complete India & Asia will co-ordinate the initial arrangements for you.
