As ever, the organisation went very well, even allowing for the change of plan because of the danger in visiting the Yala national park. This was unfortunate but no-one’s fault as the situation was always volatile even when the trip was booked. The driver was excellent and we would recommend him to any other English speaking guests. Amaya Lake was excellent in all respects as was Mt Lavinia – both better than we expected

Vietnam & Laos – October 2011

The whole trip was absolutely outstanding and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The train trip, Halong Bay cruise (even though we couldn't stay overnight due to typhoon), homestay temples etc etc.

All the hotels were good Vansana Plain of Jars being the most outstanding both for location and the staff and also the dinner we had there in the evening was excellent and good value.

All the vehicles drivers and guides were great especially Sonboun who was with us throughout Laos - nothing was too much trouble and he went over and beyond to make sure we never missed anything and added anything he thought would interest us - ie. dragon boat racing on the way to Luang Prabang.

The home stay was fantastic and is something we will never forget, yes it's basic but what would one expect??? The blessing ceremony, people, fantastic unspoilt views and location were something else along with the boat ride there. On the way we stopped off at another one that was used generally by backpackers and where we were knocked spots off that place.

All in all we think you did an excellent job. We got to do things some people can only see in books or watch on TV but then that was the idea.

Would definitely recommend you and you can use these comments if you wish.
