Day 11 – Hanoi/Halong Bay (B,L,D)
After breakfast, depart Hanoi by minibus for the scenic road journey to Halong Bay. This natural wonder and UNESCO World Heritage Site features hundreds of spectacular limestone outcrops set in one of the world’s most stunning bays.
You will spend the rest of the day and overnight on a traditional Halong Bay junk, drifting amongst the limestone rocks. The junk will stop at islands to see how the traditional fishermen live, and you will also get the chance to go kayaking in the bay. Or you can just choose to relax on deck.
Day 12 – Halong Bay/Hanoi/Saigon (B)
After breakfast on board watching the sun rise over the bay (if you wake up early enough!), the junk will return to shore, from where you will transfer to Hanoi Airport for your return flight to Saigon.
After transferring to your hotel, you have the evening free to enjoy Saigon.
Day 13 – Saigon/Ke Ga (B,L)
After breakfast, depart Saigon by private car and travel to the little-known beach resort of Ke Ga for a couple of relaxing days on the beach. Ke Ga features miles of pure white sand and deserted beaches, and is the perfect place to unwind after your busy tour.
Day 14 – Ke Ga/La Gi (B,L,D)
After a morning on the beach, depart Ke Ga for the short drive to La Gi and your luxury overnight homestay. Run by a friend of Come & Go, the La Gi homestay is a large wooden house set in a big private garden with fishing lake and lotus pond. The house is well-equipped and has a large outdoor deck with bar, big-screen TV and DVD player. The family will cook fresh barbecued seafood for you as you enjoy the tranquility of this little-known spot.
Day 15 – La Gi/Saigon/departure (B)
Wave goodbye to your new friends in Ke Ga and transfer back to Saigon Airport for your flight back to the UK, after a truly memorable two weeks.
