Day 1         Arrival: Kuching
Arrive Kuching.. Be met at airport and transfer to Kuching Hilton.
Overnight Kuching Hilton (or Harbour View 3 Star)

Day 2        Bako National Park (B, L)
Drive about 35 minutes to Bako Village. From the village, take about a 25-minute boat ride (depending on the tide) to the park situated in a peninsula. Bako is one of the best places in Sarawak to see wildlife in a natural surrounding. The various types of animals that are commonly spotted at Bako include the proboscis monkeys, silver leaf monkeys, long tail macaques, wild boars, monitor lizards, and numerous species of birds. Tropical rainforest ranges from mangrove to kerangas (heath forest), tropical swamp vegetation, cliff vegetation and beach vegetation. There are several trails inside the park depending on level of fitness and interest. There is a possibility to swim in the warm waters of the South China Sea by one of the secluded beaches. Return to Kuching mid-afternoon. (Schedule may depend on tide)

Overnight Kuching Hilton. (or Harbour View 3 Star)

Day 3        Kuching- Hilton Batang Ai Resort(B)
Depart by shuttle overland for Batang Ai reservoir (41/2 hours). Journey through rural Sarawak, passing pepper gardens and cocoa and rubber plantations. Upon arrival at the Batang Ai reservoir, journey for 30 minutes by ferry to  Hilton Batang Ai Resort . Free at leisure and overnight. 

Please take note:
Please advise everyone to pack enough clothing/belongings for 2 nights in a duffle bag or small bag and leave behind their main suitcases / main luggage (which will be stored at Hilton Kuching)

Day 4        Hilton Batang Ai Resort – Spaya Longhouse(B,L,)
Spaya is the longest longhouse located by the bank of the Engkari River, only an hour and half ride by longboat from the Hilton Batang Ai Resort. You will make a first stop at a fish catchery before calling at the Mengiling Longhouse jetty. Then, you continue your journey to visit the longhouse, meet with its inhabitants and have a taste of Iban hospitality. Resume your journey upriver to have a picnic lunch, Iban style. Try your hand in using basic bamboo utensils. After lunch you can relax or swim in the pristine waters. Retrace your journey back to the Hilton Batang Ai Resort.

Day 5         Hilton Batang Ai  Longhouse Resort - Kuching(B)
Afternoon, depart across Batang AI reservoir then overland to Kuching by shuttle. Overnight at Kuching Hilton.

Day 6         Kuching- Kota Kinabalu –Sandakan (B)
After breakfast proceed directly to the airport for flight to Kota Kinabalu. Lunch (not included) at Kota Kinabalu International Airport and connect flight to Sandakan.

Upon arrival  at Sandakan proceed with a sightseeing tour around Sandakan’s various scenic sites including the Chinese Temple and Australian War Memorial, Sim Sim  water village and wet market.

Overnight at Sabah Hotel. ( or 4 Star Hotel Sandakan)

Day 7         Sepilok-Sandakan (B,L)
After breakfast ,visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary where captive orang utans are reintroduced into the wild. You will be able to observe them at their feeding stations in the rainforest and see a video presentation on the Orang Utan’s rehabilitation programme. Transfer back to the jetty in Sandakan for a boat excursion that brings you to the pristine mangrove forests along the Kinabatangan River delta in search of proboscis monkeys, birds and reptiles. Lunch is provided in the Abai Jungle Restaurant. Return to Sandakan in the late  afternoon in time for flight MH2066 (1830/1910 hrs) back to Kota Kinabalu.

Day  8        Kinabalu  Park/Poring Hot Spring(B,D)
Depart in the early morning for a 3 hr drive to Poring Hot Spring (126 km from Kota Kinabalu). En route, make a stop at Nabalu village to savour local fruits and to bargain prices for the handicrafts.  Explore the many jungle trails and observe wildlife on the canopy walkway 100 feet above the forest floor. After lunch, take a dip in one of the soothing, steaming hot mineral springs set in beautifully landscaped gardens. Proceed to the World Heritage site of Kinabalu National Park (39km from Poring).  The rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure.

Overnight stay will be at the twin-bedded cabins at Kinabalu Park (or equivalent)..

Day 9         Kinabalu  Park- Kota Kinabalu(B,L)
After an early breakfast transfer to Timpohon Gate at 1866m above sea level and trek up to the second shelter along the mountain trail. This particular trail provides good opportunities for bird watching. Return to Park Headquarters in time for a nature walk with a Park naturalist. Visit the botanical garden. Have lunch and return to Kota Kinabalu in the afternoon. (B,L)

Overnight Magellan Sutera Hotel & Spa(or 4 star Beverly Hotel.)

 

Day 12       Kota Kinabalu To Kuala Lumpur (B)

Meet and transfer to airport for departure To KL and flight home.


Surcharge per person for client whom choose to climb Mt. Kinabalu =  Rm 75.00

KINABALU SUMMIT      (2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT)

Day 8         Kinabalu Park – Laban Rata (B,L,D)

Leave the hotel in the early morning and drive overland to Kinabalu Park by coach or van (2 hours). Arrive at Kinabalu Park - register with the Park office and then continue to the Power Station (20 minutes) by coach for the start of the climb. Commence climb to Laban Rata with packed lunch. The climb will take approximately 4 hours. Check-in at the Laban Rata Guesthouse and the rest of the afternoon is free at leisure. Have dinner and overnight at the guesthouse. (L,D)

Day 9         Laban Rata – Submit – Kota Kinabalu (B,L)

Wake up as early as 0200 hours to have breakfast and commence to the summit by torchlight. The climb will take about 3 hours. Witness the beautiful sunrise at the summit at 0600 hours. Descend to Laban Rata Guesthouse, then to the Power Station. Transfer to Park HQ. Have lunch and return to hotel in Kota Kinabalu. .

All Tours are subject to an Acceptance Payment/Deposit of £150.

1.On acceptance - £100 per person, Acceptance Payment (non refundable) by cheque payable to “S W & M Miller”
Your Contract for all tour arrangements is directly with Borneo Adventures to whom payment for the tour is made.
2. Eight weeks prior to arrival in Malaysia or on Acceptance  - 50% payable in US $, by Credit Card or International Bank Transfer, direct to Borneo Adventures..
3. On arrival in Malaysia – 50% payable, in US $, by Credit Card or Cash.

Cancellation Charges

35 days prior to arrival a cancellation fee of US$200 per person will be applicable.
30 days notice of cancellation a fee of 25% of the total amount will be applicable.
25 days notice of cancellation a fee of 50% of the total amount will be applicable
Less than 25 days notice incurs the full amount.
